Zelenskyy arrives at Peace Summit, meets with Swiss president

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held talks with Viola Amherd, President of the Swiss Confederation, before the commencement of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.

Details: The leaders of Ukraine and Switzerland did not provide details of the bilateral talks.
“100 delegations from all regions of the world are gathering with the aim of initiating a peace process and developing further steps,” the Swiss president added.

A number of attendees of the Global Peace Summit, including Zelenskyy, have arrived at the hotel in the resort town of Bürgenstock, where a plenary session with all representatives will take place on Saturday afternoon.
Background:
- Earlier, it was reported that Switzerland changed the troublesome provisions of the final document of the Peace Summit, which could have had undesirable consequences for Ukraine.
- Meanwhile, media reports indicate that the text of the declaration is still being agreed upon.
