Zelenskyy extends sanctions against Ukrainian businessmen Firtash, Fuchs and several Russian oligarchs

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree implementing the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated 24 June 2024 to extend sanctions against Ukrainian businessmen Dmytro Firtash and Pavlo Fuks, as well as several Russian oligarchs, for 10 years.

Details: The NSDC decision specified that proposals regarding the application, revocation and amendment of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) were submitted by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The decision also stated that sanctions are imposed on both individuals and legal entities.
The list of individuals included 390 people. Among them are Dmytro Firtash and Pavlo Fuks.
The list of legal entities includes 366 companies.
Background: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree in 2021 implementing the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine dated 18 June to impose sanctions against 540 companies and 538 individuals for a period of three years and indefinitely.
