Zelenskyy instructs Ukraine’s defence industry to produce 3,000 cruise missiles in 2025

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed Ukraine’s defence industry to produce at least 3,000 cruise missiles and drone missiles, as well as 30,000 long-range drones throughout 2025.

Quote: “Next year, Ukraine plans to produce at least 30,000 long-range drones. The task has been set to produce at least 3,000 cruise missiles and drone missiles.
As for our missile programme. Many people, especially the Russians, remember our Ukrainian Neptunes. But we have also made long-range Neptunes. And the name itself is indicative of the task. And we already have first strikes.”
Details: Zelenskyy also said that in 2024, Ukraine produced more than 2.5 million mortar rounds and artillery shells of calibres ranging from 60 to 155.
Background: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine’s missile programme currently includes four types of missiles. They are currently being tested.
