Zelenskyy meets with Patriarch Bartholomew and thanks him for involving countries in Global Peace Summit

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople on the sidelines of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.

Details: Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the patriarch for supporting Ukraine, praying for peace and helping Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression.
“It is crucial that you are with us today at the Peace Summit. Thank you for your humanitarian support, especially in bringing back Ukrainian children and swapping prisoners of war. This is very important for us,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also thanked Patriarch Bartholomew for engaging the world’s nations in the Global Peace Summit.
Zelenskyy noted the patriarch’s efforts to promote the development and strengthening of Orthodoxy in Ukraine and the dialogue with the clergy of the world and partner countries in this regard.
