Quote: “Now, restoration work continues in some oblasts of our country, where there were power outages due to Russian strikes. Power engineers in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, particularly Kryvyi Rih, are working to bring back electricity to all consumers as quickly as possible.
We sent the head of Ukrenergo and all the necessary specialists and resources to the oblast. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal briefed me today on the work and protection of energy facilities. I thank every repair team and all the employees involved.
For Ukraine, being selfless, effective, and courageous at its level means being a strong state capable of defending and protecting itself. I thank everyone who understands this.”
Background:
- Overnight on Saturday, due to a drone attack, two heating plants and 7,500 consumers are de-energized in Kryvyi Rih.
- The city’s power engineers introduced emergency shutdown schedules according to the algorithm used last year during blackouts.
- Later, the chairman of the Oblast Military Administration said that all consumers whose homes had been left without power by the night attack in Kryvyi Rih were already reconnected.
- The Ministry of Energy says measures to eliminate the aftermath of attacks continue. Electricity supplies may still be temporarily restricted to restore a stable supply in the city.
