Details: Zelenskyy noted that he didn’t want to reveal the details before discussing the plan with Biden.
“Decisions regarding the plan mostly depend on him [Biden – ed.]. They depend on other allies too, but there are points that depend on positive will and support by the United States. I really hope he will support this plan,” Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy noted that the implementation of this idea would require quick decisions from the partners and revealed the period during which this plan should be put into motion.
“This plan is based on the decisions which should be adopted within the period from October to December…Then the plan will work, we think,” he said.
Earlier, Zelenskyy revealed that the plan consisted of four points regarding the increase of Ukraine’s defence capability “plus another one we’ll need after the war”.
Zelenskyy also revealed what he planned to do if President Biden did not support this plan and “a plan B was needed”.
“We’re already in the plan B, we live and fight in it. We have never had a plan A because plan A was not to let the full-scale Russian invasion happen, strengthen Ukraine with military aid and impose preventive sanctions against Russia so that it would have been scared of a mere thought about a full-scale invasion. So we’re already living in this plan,” Zelenskyy explained.
He added that he was not familiar with the strategy of Biden’s administration concerning the Russo-Ukrainian war – a secret document prepared by the White House on the request of the Congress.
Reportedly, Zelenskyy is set to visit the US next week where he is to present his “victory plan” to incumbent US President Joe Biden and presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
