President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasised that Ukraine will persist in targeting Russian military sites, increasingly relying on domestically produced drones and missiles.

Quote: “We’ll certainly continue to strike Russian military targets – using drones and missiles, with an increasing number of Ukrainian-made ones – targeting military bases and the very Russian infrastructure involved in carrying out terror against our people.
Our defence is entirely just. I thank everyone around the world who supports Ukraine in this effort, particularly those advocating for increased spending on the defence in European countries and the renewal and modernisation of Europe’s arsenals. I also thank those working to intensify pressure on Russia during this war.”
Details: The president noted that Ukrainian emergency workers had finished clearing the rubble in Kyiv following the missile attack on 20 December and that efforts were ongoing in Kherson after Russian bombs struck an oncology clinic.
“This clinic operated in a limited capacity during the war, with only the equipment that couldn’t be moved to other hospitals in the region. Notably, a linear accelerator was available only in Kherson, making it the sole place where patients could undergo radiotherapy. The Russians must have known this was a crucial medical facility for the people of Kherson. This targeted strike is nothing short of a mockery of people,” Zelenskyy stressed.
Background: Russian forces attacked a medical facility in the city of Kherson by dropping two aerial bombs on it on the night of 20-21 December.
